How Microsoft has impacted my life and how I plan to bring a change to the society being a
Microsoft Student Associate?

Hello everyone! I am Ishita Biswas. I am a B-TECH 4th year Information Technology student of MCKV Institute of Engineering. I am from Bally, Howrah. My hobbies are reading story books, surfing internets. Besides my study I used to participate in inter college drama competition, delivered lectures in various Youth Convention organized by Ramakrishna Mission, participated in social activities also. Actually what I do, I do everything from deep of my heart.

Now comes to my Microsoft Story. When I was in class V, I first started using Microsoft Word. Gradually I started using Power Point, Office Access, Excel etc. Now Microsoft has become a part of my life.

In my life I am always inspired by Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji said “Education is not feeling the mind with lot of facts. Perfecting the instrument and getting complete mastery of my own mind is the ideal of Education”.

Now I am going to be a B.Tech graduate and Microsoft has helped me all the way in ‘perfecting the instrument’ as Swamiji said. Whenever I want to do something in my laptop or PC, in every step, Microsoft come forward with its big world of various applications to help me. In every stage it contributes its footstep. First of all when I bought my laptop, it was Windows 7 enabled. I have made all the presentations in Microsoft Office Power Point, projects in Microsoft Office Project 2010, drew diagram in Microsoft Office Visio 2010. I have studied & did projects on Microsoft Visual Studio & Microsoft SQL Server. I use Microsoft Office Access 2007 database to create any database. I use SKYPE for live interaction with my parents, classmates when I am far away from them, Internet Explorer for browsing internet, Bing for search engine, Windows Media Player for watching movies or videos, One Drive for storing valuable documents, files in cloud, Microsoft Office Picture Manager to edit pictures. I have account on Hotmail also.

So, hats off to Microsoft. Without Microsoft not only for me but for all I think it’s very difficult to interact with modern World.

Now, when the question comes that being a Microsoft Student Associate how I plan to bring a change to the society then I can say that I am enthusiastic, energetic, passionate to technologies & sensible as well. I always think that I have social duties to perform. According to my point of view what I have learnt about various Microsoft applications from my college or myself should spread among others for building an advanced society. So, being a Microsoft Student Associate, I want to share the benefits I have got from Microsoft to the others also. It is my dream to become Microsoft Students Associate because I think I have the ability to host activities like workshops, seminars involving students of my college, locality so that I can guide them & boost up their interest in technologies specially Microsoft Technologies, and thus spread my dream to the youth. Beside all these activities I shall definitely make people aware who don’t know about Microsoft’s applications as much.

I think all my dreams cannot be fulfilled without being a MSA. So, I pray to God and hope for the best that let all my dreams come true.
THANK YOU
